Remembering God daily
This week’s lesson was a great reminder to always have
faith in the Savior. Studying Sister Sheri L. Dew’s talk reminds me of how
nothing is impossible to the Lord. If I can keep this in mind when I face
challenges, “have faith that the Lord can and will help you, and then diligently
seek His help.” It is not enough for me to just have faith in Him, I must pray
and ask then go and do the work. As I struggle everyday with my studies, if I
put my trust in Him it would do me a lot of good. This part of the reading was
an eye opener, “The more the Lord trusts you, the more knowledge and power He
will give you.” This is a journey and I must treat it as such. It is not a one
time thing, to pray only in my time of need, or in the beginning of the semester
and explain all the things I need help with and then pray again at the end of
the semester for help with my exam. I have to prove myself worthy of these
blessings daily by doing things e.g. put Him first, keep His commandments, be
prayerful etc that qualify me for His help and trust.
I was also reminded to don’t give up by the quote by Heber
J. Grant, “There is no easy formula for success. Persist, persist, persist;
work, work, work is what counts in the battle of life.” This line confirms that
life is not easy, this journey for me is not going to be easy, but if I persist
with the guidance from above I will be successful.
On the other side, it is important to have a business
partner and workers that have work ethics that are aligned with yours. It means
they will be willing to take risks with you. More importantly is to make my
life plan goals aligns with God’s plan for me.
